The pioneering brand of tapioca-based tea beverages in Mexico was internationally acclaimed for its quality and corporate responsibility.
Cassava Roots, the leading Mexican bubble tea brand, was awarded at the Mexico Quality Summit 2023 as the Mexican Company of the Year by the Latin American Quality Institute (LAQI), which recognizes the quality and social responsibility of Latin American companies.
With over 65 branches and 15 years in the Mexican market, Cassava Roots is widely highlighted, among a hundred participating companies that are members of the LAQI network, as a brand that promotes sustainable development, social responsibility, fair trade, and business excellence, the four fundamental pillars of the Latin American Excellence Model (LAEM).
“We are proud to be valued as a responsible and quality company internationally; we strive every day to provide our ‘rocksters’ with the best tapioca-based tea beverages sustainably,” said Edgar Gonzalez, managing partner of the brand, who also noted that their goal is to keep expanding and reach a greater number of people who fall in love with the experience that Cassava Roots offers.
Cassava Roots has managed to position itself both inside and outside Mexico, under its slogan #TryBeingOriginal, which invites “rocksters” to try something different and unique. Additionally, through the initiative ‘Cassava x the Planet’, it contributes to environmental care by promoting the use of eco-friendly straws, napkins, stirrers, and cups; among its goals is the reduction of up to one million plastic straws per year.
The Latin American Quality Institute is a private organization founded in Panama that supports and promotes the competitiveness of Latin American companies through certifications and awards that encourage entrepreneurs to continue on the path of Total Quality.
